Review:
The melody and supporting chords of this lovely hymn are presented in a straightforward fashion, but increasing movement in the bass clef gives this arrangement added complexity. It opens in the key of F but modulates into G and grows in texture and volume to a big conclusion. There are limited accidentals and rhythms are easy. This setting sounds more difficult than it is, and that’s always a plus. It is 87 measures in length.
