Review:
This stately Russian hymn begins with a fanfare of all parts that leads into a hymn-like setting of the tune. The next verse calls for the keyboard and trumpet on melody while the bells contribute a running, eighth-note accompaniment. A key change and then bells solo on two verses. The conclusion is full with all parts playing. An exciting BIG triumphant number. 5 octave arrangement, same key, is MSTSGM114 (also MSTSGM114A, MSTSGM114B and MSTSGM114C). Brass ensemble consists of Trumpet, Horn in F, Trombone and Tuba.
