Review:      "Easter day breaks, Christ arises! The tomb that held him is empty now...The bells are ringing their joyful noise!" So begins this original composition for SATB choir with optional brass and three octaves of handbells. The handbells play throughout the work, and good use is made of all three octaves. The plus is added to the level II marking because of some chromatic changes within a small section of the work, but should not discourage level II choirs. This anthem provides a nice break from the several arrangements of the two or three traditional hymn tunes. Brass ensemble consists of two trumpets, two trombones, French Horn and Tuba. The instrument packet includes the full score, handbell score and brass parts, but only the bell part is reproducible.
