Aurora

Review:      This amazing original composition by William Payn is inspired by the concept of light. The northern lights, or the aurora borealis, are beautiful dancing waves of light seen through a dramatic process that transforms into a cinematic atmospheric phenomenon that fascinates all who are lucky enough to witness it. This composition, with its unusual key signature and ever-growing dramatic moments of intensity, gives musical interpretation to an aurora's display of brilliant lights that appear as curtains, rays, spirals, or dynamic flickers covering the entire sky. It was commissioned for the Bay View Week of Handbells.
