Los Peces en el Rio with Fum Fum Fum

Review:      "Los peces en el rio" is a popular Spanish carol in Spain and Latin America. The title translation is “the little fishes in the river” and refers to the little fishes being excited to see God born, as are the birds in the air and the roses in bloom. The lyrics are delightful and are available online. This setting begins with the calm, simple "Los peces" melody which quickly becomes excited and rhythmic. The "Fum" melody is soon introduced and eventually the two tunes are brilliantly joined into an exciting finale. Techniques are Ring, mallets, and TD with a few marts included for good measure. This is a ‘must-have’ for your ensemble! 76 measures in g minor.
