Review:
Beginning with but a single unadorned melody line, this thrilling work work quickly gains momentum as it winds its way through two grand modulations to a glorious finale. The music truly reflects the powerful thoughts of the hymn writer: "Be this the eternal song, through all the ages long: May Jesus Christ be praised!" The rhythms pose no problem and the bell changes are carefully planned throughout. Measures total 61.
