Bells of the Sound is a nationally acclaimed handbell ensemble pioneering handbell artistry and excellence in the greater Seattle and Puget Sound area since 1989. Comprised of 15 auditioned musicians, the group has set the standard for innovative, energetic and entertaining concerts. Performing on seven octaves of handbells and five octaves of handchimes, the largest set west of the Mississippi, the group has performed at the First Annual Day of Music at Benaroya Hall, sold-out shows with the Seattle Men's Chorus, and headline performances at national handbell conferences. Bells of the Sound has evolved into a dynamic force in the handbell world, advancing handbells into the mainstream of entertainment.
