Review:
Combining handbells, keyboard and chimes, Janet Linker and Jane McFadden have created a contemplative arrangement of this lovely Natalie Sleeth tune. The introduction features bells and piano antiphonally. Handchimes introduce the hymn melody with quiet accompaniment. The second verse has more motion with the hymn melody in octaves. The antiphonal theme returns and leads into "Amazing Grace" with chimes on the melody. After a modulation to C major, the final statement of "Hymn of Promise" returns as a handbell solo and crescendos with piano to a brilliant climax. F Major & C Major. 83 measures.
