Ice Worms, The

Review:      Reminiscent of mining songs such as "Clementine," this Yukon folk song tells the story of a newcomer to that area that is challenged to drink an ice worm cocktail. After forcing himself to swallow the "Grey and greasy thing," he is informed that it had been "a stick of stained spaghetti with two red spots for eyes." Lots of special techniques are used in conveying the spirit of the text. 3-Octave version is MGNHB0170A.
