Review:
"Firefest Polka" (Feuerfest!-Polka Francaise) is an exciting transcription of the orchestral piece written by Josef Strauss (1827-1870) toward the end of his musical career. It was written to celebrate the completion of the 20,000th safe manufactured by the Wertheim firm. It is set for 3-5 octave handbell choir and anvil; however, there have been suggestions for substitutions that replicate the metal sound of an anvil if one is not available. This piece is an exceptional idea for festivals and concerts.
