Review:
This carol for the Easter season has a 17th century German text and a modern musical setting. Five bells, ranging from F5-C6, ring at the beginning and the end of the anthem in a descending line of dotted half notes. An excellent opportunity to involve beginning ringers in a larger work. The text begins: "The whole bright world rejoices now, Hilariter, hilariter, The birds do sing on ev'ry bough, Alleluia, Alleluia."
