O Day Full of Grace

Review:      After a bright introduction the hymn tune DEN SIGNEDE DAG by Christoph Weyse (1774-1842) enters in a passage marked "gently, quarter = 88-92. The melody is found in the bass with undulating, eighth-note patterns above. A later section places the melody in doubled octaves in the upper bells and mallets on tabled bells in the bass. The ending is gentle and calls for the use of optional chimes.
