Review:
Five to ten bells ranging from C6-A7 are a driving eighth-note force that accompanies SATB choir and congregation with keyboard, brass quartet (or quintet) and timpani. The bells are called on to ring for a better part of the work and always in eighth-note rhythm ostinati. Hopson captures the mood of the work through light, bouncy accompaniment in every instrument. Brass ensemble consists of two trumpets, Horn in F (in lieu of Trombone I), Trombone I & II, optional Tuba, and Timpani. Two handbell parts are included in the instrument set.
