Review:
An unusual format is used in the scoring of this famous work of Johann Pachelbel. The ostinato on the grand staff is given on one sheet with instructions for repetition. The melody is given on the treble staff only and is written out in full. Performance notes give directions for flexible timing in performance if needed (ex. a wedding procession, prelude, etc.) Bell assignments for trio or quintet, quartet or sextet and 3-4 octaves of bells are given.
