Review:
The hymn tune ELLACOMBE has been arranged for 3-5 octaves and organ with optional SATB (choral part separate) voices. The bells and organ begin the piece with answering echoes and then go together into a majestic setting of the tune in full texture. After a key change things speed up and the bells provide an rhythmically augmented melody in the lower register with a running, scale-like accompaniment in the upper bells. This pattern builds in intensity to the fortississimo ending.
