Review:
Franz Liszt beloved composition is here transcribed for 5 or 6 octaves of bells and 3 or 4 octaves of handchimes. The melody (played by the chimes)is found in the middle range to begin the work with accompaniment in the upper and lower registers. A section marked piu animato, con espressione follows, rung by bells only. The texture throughout is on the light side, but by no means sparse.
