Review:
There is no optional octaves in this quartet arrangement from the opera "Carmen", giving Michael Keller free reign with five octaves of bells (a very freeing thing for a writer!). Performance suggestions are written into the score where they are needed such as, "*4:place a D3 handbell and a mallet at the top end of the table." No doubt this is an advanced quartet piece; however, a five octave choir may play this as a solo piece as well.
