Review:
Commissioned for the 10th anniversary tour of the Carillon Ringers in Beaver, PA., this original work is a challenge! The business of Baroque style sets the pace and then relents into a gentle "expressivo" section of layered sound. This doesn't last, however, as the piece begins to rhythmically "pick up speed" through chromatics and key changes. The final sections return to the opening texture with the addition of staccato techniques, fortissimo dynamic and shakes.
