This book, designed for the novice, comes from the experience of a pioneer handbell director and covers a wide range of knowledge from bell history to using bells in worship, in the classroom and in concert. The appendices covering Resources, Symbols, Assignments, Repertoire, and Exercises are quite valuable. As in books of this type, the various subjects are briefly covered. Depth must be found elsewhere.
