Review:
Composer Valerie Stephenson composed this original composition in honor of her husband's 20th anniversary as the music director of their home church. The tempos marking is Cantabile quarter =76-84, the key is Ab major with forays into other harmonies via chromatics, the accompaniment is light to begin with and then smoothes out to arpeggiated chords using the LV technique. A faster, middle section reminds one of a passage from a Bach imitative piece. The tempo slows again and find the melody in the lower register. The last section is fast and dramatic.
