Review:
Subtitled "Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above," this arrangement of the Bohemian tune MIT FREUDEN ZART is joyous and upbeat. It employs jauntily malleted, multi-metered, dotted eighth and sixteenth rhythms in the opening and closing sections, and optional handchimes in a brief, more legato middle section. The arrangement is playable by bells alone, but is even more joyous when the optional percussion instruments are used: finger cymbals or triangle, tambourine, and tenor drum or snare drum with the snares off. It is appropriate for most any time in the church year or as a delightful concert addition. 80 measures.
