This is a joyous arrangement from Lauran Delancy of Luther’s Christmas hymn, VOM HIMMEL HOCH, for 3–5 octave handbells and optional 3 or 5 octave handchimes. The opening measures of bell peal can be heard throughout the piece as all the bells of Christendom join in proclaiming the news of Jesus’ birth. An allusion to Joy to the World comes before the final statement. Your handbell choir will love ringing this piece at Christmas. 59 measures. Key of C Major.
