Review:
Containing three separate short works suitable for worship, these contrasting pieces will be useful for Advent. “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus” offers a single line tune in chimes first, then in broadly chorded repeat for a bold finish. “Savior of the Nations, Come” is more meditative, with chorded chimes over singing bell intervals, finishing in a broad, full chorded conclusion. “Lift-Up Your Heads, O Mighty Gates” is two celebratory verses expressive of the title. All three choices are easy to learn but fun to ring.
