Review:
Prepare to be stunned by this arrangement of Charles Wesley’s beloved carol. Set for SATB choir with a brilliant piano 4-hands or organ accompaniment, it is both powerful and quietly contemplative, capturing every nuance of the text. Two brass scorings are available (large ensemble and quintet, both with percussion), as well as a full orchestral version. The large brass ensemble and orchestral versions also include an optional 30-second brass/percussion fanfare (not printed in vocal score or brass quintet). In addition, a handbell part is available, which may be used with any of the other accompaniment options. An accompaniment CD (piano 4-hands, brass quintet, and percussion) is also available.
