Alas and Did My Savior Bleed

Review:      Beautiful harmonies prevail in this reflective arrangement of the time-honored Lenten hymn. Expressive ringing is encouraged to best depict the Isaac Watts text which speaks of Christ's suffering on the cross. A gentler, middle verse allows for the optional use of Handchimes on the melody. The concluding verse utilizes bold, full chords before settling into a peaceful ending. 70 measures in length, this arrangement is scored in F Major.
