Composed in honor of Dr. Oran Nabors and for Cast of Bronze directed by Christopher Nabors, this work encompasses and embraces expressive melodies surrounded by the dramatic inclusion of cascading bells and contrasting dynamics. The use of handchimes coupled with the handbells gives the work depth and color and serves to intensify soaring displays of sound in all of the registers. If you like Dr. Payn’s handbell work “Radiance” published by Choristers Guild in 2006, you will find this addition to the CG catalogue to be a challenging, rewarding addition to the advanced choir repertoire and one that will captivate audiences all the way to the final dramatic ending.
