Review:
This is a richly chordal setting of the familiar children’s song, easy but satisfying to the ear. The first verse is rung by middle and low bells. Verse two is thinner but has delightful high bell references to the other children’s favorite, “Jesus Loves Me”. Verse three increases the bell range resonance, and verse four enhances the single line melody with repeated malleted chords. The ending is a chordal delight. 79 measures in length, this piece is scored in F Major.
