Review:
Peace is the theme of this meditative setting of the hymn tune QUEBEC. Many options are available, as groups may choose to present this as a stand-alone bell piece or to enhance it with the addition of a flute and/or a solo singer or SATB voices. The inclusion of two different texts adds to the flexibility. Techniques included are mallets or thumb damps and LV. Since there are only a few bell changes, developing choirs will be able to prepare the piece with limited rehearsal time. The arrangement will be especially appropriate for services of peace if using the primary text. "O God of Love" is 79 measures in length and is scored in F Major.
