Review:
Block chords and easy rhythms make this an ideal book for the beginning 2-octave choir, especially those progressing from a "beginner's book". Information in the "Foreword" and the "Glossary" are helpful to those just starting. The hymns included are, for the most part, familiar and general season. Most do not go below the quarter note, but a few do have some eighth-note passages. Varying tempos and keys add challenge for the new members.
