Every one of your ringers will get a chance to star in this graceful arrangement of the classic tune “Rock of Ages.” The first iterations of the melody are featured on the optional handchimes, and even the bass bells get to ring out. The tonal landscape is complex, and careful attention will need to be paid to the accidentals. This may be a challenge piece for some level 2 choirs, but your ringers will agree that it is a challenge well worth the effort. One most interesting effect is that the melody is presented in a minor key in the latter section. "Rock of Ages" is 72 measures and is scored in Ab Major, f minor, and C Major.
