The book is split into three sections. Section one explains the history and mechanics of handbells, describes in detail all the equipment necessary to effectively start a handbell choir and explains the maintenance and care of the equipment. Section two describes techniques for teaching and development of a choir and its individual ringers with emphasis on the various techniques used in handbell ringing. Section three concentrates on the development of handbells in musical education and how to choose a repertoire based on levels and techniques.
