Review:
"Thirteen" was a co-winner of the 2007 SoundPrint Composition Contest, a contest which was designed to encourage composers to stretch the boundaries of current handbell literature. This original composition is really a duet between the handbell choir and cello. This distinctive piece has numerous meter changes. Innovative and challenging, the atonal work utilizes all of the handbells in the 3 octave range. Measures total 117.
