Review:
Arranged by Linda Lamb, "Christians, Awake! Salute the Happy Morn" is a level 3 arrangement of the Yorkshire tune for 3 to 5 octaves of handbells with three octaves of optional handchimes. This hymn, which is most usually associated with the tune, was written by John Byrom for his daughter Dolly as a Christmas gift in 1745. The arrangement uses a fanfare beginning, a driving bass line, and many stopped sounds to convey the excitement of the text. Measures total 61.
