Day of Pentecost, The
Five handbells (A4-A5) combine with readers and an organ pedal point to present the story of Pentecost in a fresh, new way. The bells enter and with a random ring followed by a sustained pedal in the organ. A plainsong melody, Veni Creator Spiritus, enters with the text: "Come, O Creator Spirit come, and make within our heart your home..." The readers enter at this point.
