Creator of the Stars of Night
A simple but transcendent setting of the chant tune CONDITOR ALME SIDERUM, this begins with men in unison against a handbell ostinato. Stanza 2 is women in unison with organ. On stanza 3, the congregation joins the full choir in unison, with organ and bell chords punctuating occasionally. The congregation continues singing with the unison choir for stanzas 4 and 5, with the final verse set against full organ and random ringing. Requires only 11 bells out of the four octave range - from Eb5 to D7.
