My Paddle's Keen and Bright II
 "My Paddle’s Keen and Bright - II" is based on a beloved "campfire" song, written by Canadian Margaret Embers McGee to honor the First Nations people and their love of the waterways. Part of the "Sing & Ring" series, it embodies the essence of a native folk tune motif with driving rhythms and haunting melody that will make it one of your ringers' favorite pieces.
Beginning and L1 ringers are included in the performance: playing chords on Orff or guitar, ringing chords from a chart, lyric sheet or a L1 score, adding percussion. Your entire student body and all your festival ringers/campers can participate in this song for a wondrous concert finale. All scores in this edition are reproducible by the original purchaser. Appropriate for concert, school, camp and festival use.

RE2306 "My Paddle’s Keen and Bright – I" is the compatible concert score and may be added to accompany your singers and ringers. Fully scored for 3-5 octaves, this L2+ piece is a Split-Level piece: written to gently assimilate new or beginning ringers into an established group – or to allow multiple levels/grades to perform together. In this case, 3 ringing positions are somewhat easier (B4C5, D5E5 and F5G5) at Level 1+; and a special extracted score for these ringers is included, if needed, to allow them to quickly learn new skills and succeed in ringing. Most of the small 16th-note motifs fall within ringing positions, making them much easier to master – a goal of the Class ring series from ringTrue.
