Two German Folk Songs
“Evening Bells” and”O Silent Night” (which is not the Christmas carol) are paired in this work commissioned by the Alberta (Canada) guild. Its folk character is emphasized by consonant harmonies and simple rhythms. Some percussive techniques add color. Arranged in C Major, this piece is 76 measures.
