O Spirit of the Living God
Three octaves of bells are scored to ring along on selected stanzas in this anthem based on the hymn tune FOREST GREEN. Each stanza invites varying vocal and instrumental ensembles to participate. These include SATB choir, treble choir, congregation, bells, brass quartet, and organ. The text begins: O Spirit of the living God, thou light and fire divine, Descend upon thy church once more, and make it truly Thine. Brass ensemble consists of 2 trumpets and 2 trombones.
