Easter Carol
Composer Theron Kirk achieves color in this original composition through the combination of SATB voices, bells (E4-A6), finger cymbals and hand drum. Other options include tabor, bodhran, Israeli folk drum, or large tambourine. The meter is 6/8 and the tempo clips by at dotted quarter = 112-116. The melody is bright and cheery as is the text which begins, "Spring again has come to earth, this Easter day, bright Easter day, the birds sing sweet with joy and cheer, this Easter day, bright Easter day."
