Coventry Carol
The plaintive nature of this Christmastide carol is reflected in the construction of this arrangement. The piece begins quietly, repeats the melody a little more insistently with a framing of ostinato patterns, and presses to a high point in the third melodic iteration, relaxing and returning to the subdued state it began in. The simple design of the arrangement will facilitate learning by less experienced small ensemble ringers.
