Night of Stars
As night begins to show itself, stars slowly twinkle, one by one. In this arrangement of "Creator of the Stars of Night", these stars are represented by the random ringing of handbells, while the original hymn tune CONDITOR ALME SIDREUM is rung underneath. A low, open 5th drone creates an ethereal atmosphere, perfect for setting the tone for any church service, especially during Advent. The piece concludes, very much as it begins, much like the night stars fading away to make room for the morning sun.
