How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place
"How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place" is one of seven movements from the large scale work "A German Requiem" written for choir, orchestra and soloists. Unlike a Catholic requiem mass that uses standardized Latin, this work derives its text from the Holy Scriptures utilizing a German Luther Bible. This was one of Brahms' longest compositions. It is a sacred but non-liturgical piece. Much of this piece is easy to ring but there are some challenges throughout it. Arranged in Eb Major, this work is 179 measures.
