Pavane
By definition a Pavane is a slow 16th-century Italian court dance usually in 4/4 or 4/2 meter. This arrangement is based on a pavane by Gabriel Faure. A part for flute is included in the bell folio and is integral to the performance. Staccato techniques such as pluck and mallet lift add a certain "bounce" to the otherwise andante feel. 75 measures.
