The traditional carol tune "Cradle Song" is the basis of this tender setting for bells and 3-octaves of optional but preferable chimes. The chimes enter on the melody accompanied by a delicate, broken-chord line in the treble bells to open the work. The texture thickens and the bells take over on the melody with a full score to keep every ringer involved. Replaces
