Written in memory of his parents, Phil Roberts "marries" the shape-note tune, WONDROUS LOVE, to a seventeenth-century English love song, "Blow the Candles Out". Both pieces are set in Dorian mode as sacred meets secular. The singing bell technique is gently employed in this unique and beautiful setting. 84 measures.
