Review:
While perfectly suited for handbells alone, this piece is richly enhanced when chimes and a recorder quartet or string quartet are available. Parts for all instruments (soprano, alto, tenor and bass recorder, or 2 violins, viola and cello) are included in the score.
"Psallite" is also compatible with the choral arrangement published separately. Set at an allegro tempo in cut time, this spritely, festive 25-measure work is arranged in G Major.
