Review:
Celebrate the Christmas season with this lesser known but beautiful carol. The tune of the French carol is set in two moods in this short, 34-measure selection. The opening section uses staccato technique on march-like rhythms for a strong statement in the key of c minor. The second section puts the tune in the middle with an eighth-note accompaniment pattern overhead that mimics the dip and soar pattern of birds.
