Review:
Three verses of this folk song increase in resonance and complexity to a dramatic finish. Key changes and an optional handchime melody provide color, and constantly moving eighth notes give a subtle momentum from start to finish. Two octaves of handchimes enter on the second statement of the melody in the lower register for a pleasing effect. The piece is 52 measures.
