Review:
This arrangement is a setting of an old Russian melody. Set in 2/4 time and marked "Lento, quarter=60", the music is open-spaced, flowing and thoughtful. The final section of the 61 measure piece employs shaking on the melody in octaves to give the effect of strums on a mandolin. Measures total 61.
