Review:
Both a 4 to 5-octave bell choir AND a 3 to 4-octave chime choir are needed to perform Camille Saint-Saens movement from "Le Carnaval des Animaux". The handchime part, written on a separate system above the bell score, provides the melody while the bells ring the accompaniment. The arranger offers her bell/chime assignment of twelve ringers when one choir rings both the bell and chime parts. Additional performance notes are given to aid in preparation of this magnificent work.
